In the Dark

a poem by Suvayan Dey

Life’s…
It’s dark in the room
Makes you dizzy
No one is persistent;
The sound of feet is heard
Over and over… over and over,
He does not see… nor does he see,
But, he kept wandering
Someone arrested in Tilasmi Khoh,
From passing through
Deep mysterious dark sound-sa
Existence
Any one,
And the pounding of my heart
She asks – who is that?
Hear who gives, but does not show!
So suddenly fall from within
Puffy plaster,
The sand is filled with lime
The crusts slip like this—
By itself
Someone becomes a big face,
Automatically
The mouth becomes on the wall,
Pointed nose and
Magnificent forehead,
Be strong
Any unknown unrecognizable figure.
Who appears to be the one who gives, पर
Not known!
Who is Manu?

Outside the city, across the hill, the lake…
darkness everywhere,
clear water,
पर, ब्रिन्य से अध्या शुर्णी है है
A white figure in Salil’s dark glass
A large face spreads in the fog
And smiles,
Identity states,
But, I am perplexed,
No, that’s understandable.

Hey! Hey!!
Forest trees in the dark around the pond
Shining-shining green-green suddenly
Lightning dances on the tops of the trees,
Branches, branches swaying
Screaming, knocking on each other’s head suddenly—
Someone hiding in the darkness of the trees
The rock-gate of Tilasmi Khoh
opens from the heart

The red-red torch enters strangely,
At the end of the interval
Red-red fog,
In the fog, in the front, the blood-stained male is one,
The mystery is real!

Look at his bright impressive forehead
A strange tremor in my limbs
Glorious, bright-eyed, gentle-mouthed
By seeing the potential affection-sa dear-look
Strange doubts,
The magnificent horizontal is evident
A deep suspicion.

He is a mysterious person
My expression that has not yet been found is,
He is the perfect state
Of potentialities, inherent influences, talents,
The appearance of my perfection,
The tension of knowledge that is seeping in the heart,
The genius of the soul.

The questions were serious, perhaps even dangerous.
Hence the humming outside
The wind coming from the forests
Blow suddenly extinguished the torch—
That by holding me in the dark
Sentenced to death!

A thick black strip of some black dash
eyes closed,
I was hanged on the stake of some steep pie,
In the dark pit of some zero point
I was dropped
In unconscious condition!
