Wrapping up for you

a poem by Elaine E. Howie

I have started this process just for you
It is in a lot of reds and some blues
I have begin to put it on
To our favorite love song

I thought you would like this too
So I bought a camera for you
It is for your memory book
I hope you get a good look

First I start with my hair
I tie it up now there
These long luxurious locks you love
I’ll take my bow and put it above

Now the sarong must go over my shoulder like this
And I will take my feet and put them in my shoes as if
They were the skin of you
Bottled to make me endure

This wrapping up for you

I haven decided to seduce you with my lips
And you want to see the thing I do with my hips
I am glad to oblige
But you must not reach inside

For as I am wrapping up for you
I am not slated to lose
Any of my parts
For we are copying love as it starts

I have chained our hearts together
I have sought this within forever
I am holding you now my friend
So that this wrapping up will never end
