Human Idol

a poem by Devi Nangrani

Had I the darshan of a “Talking Idol”
Sparkles and spotless
But it is a “Human Idol”
It would not touch wealth or valor
But will set a bound for your passions and fashions.

Behold but leave not the household
Be in the world, but not of the world
These are the showers of his grace
Those leave no sinful trace.

Long live that Idol my beloved Sat Guru!
The Idol of justice and ocean of bliss!
