I have so little

a poem by Mujahid Khan

I have so little to give my dear
so little silver and gold
but I can give you a gift
that can’t be bought or sold.

My friendship, if you find it sweet
my smile of greeting, when in need
my tears, to comfort you in pain
my smiles, to cheer you up again.

My hand, to hold you in joy or sorrow
my friendship to-day
my friendship for you tomorrow.

I have so little to give my dear
so little silver and gold
but I can give you a gift
that can’t be bought or sold.
