a poem by Smruti Rekha Ray

My heart wants you
My brain searches you
My steps finds you
My palm ought to hold you

You are the one after my mom
You are only my own
I meet you in school
And made you piece of core

I hadn’t seen anyone like you
Who takes my care
And never left me in fear

No one else
You are the pilot of my ship
You are the only pile
Of my word friendship
