Friendship

a poem by Mabel Annie Chacko

Friendship comes like falling rain,
Drops of laughter and pain,
Strengthening through again and again;
Hopes and dreams intertwined,
Shared during gentle talks.
Struggles worked through…
On peaceful walks.
Life compared throughout,
Yells and shouts of games long past.
Memories of crowded halls,
They seem to pass too fast.
Remember them now,
For they can come no more;
Then, friends truly made,
Shall stay forevermore.
