Sands of Betrayal

a poem by Sangeetha Mohan

I was born sea- Sea of virginity,
I formed into dew- Dew of love,
I grew into a pearl- Pearl of purity, Then
I found myself in larky hands- Hands of human heart,
I searched myself deep in their hearts- Hearts of changing hands,
But I discovered me STALE, OLD thrown in mud,
MUD OF WORST BETRAYAL.
