Fantasy

a poem by Subesh Ranjan

And the dragons don’t exist they say,
They recite werewolves as fables-
They say there’s no castle,
That spears the clouds,
Neither ninjas in the bastion.

They say What princes and kingdom?
Are they not all history?
See how I narrate everything undiscovered,
And they still tag it as a mystery!

Then they say,
What love in the air?
Is it a pink cloud-Out that you breathe?

I decline response,
Stay quiet,
Sigh a little and say-
Not something in your reach.

Then they term me as a loon-
I preferred dreamer
Better than that-
Then in the infinite century they will realise I was right,
My loon heart gave me everything
They can’t have!!
