Some untold tales

a poem by Saima Afreen

In the half-opened
Buds of the eyes
A few dewdrops are confined
Holding some untold tales
And some desires of the Night;
Far away in the sky
Dawn spreads her attire
And colourful beads
Of dreams
Get scattered everywhere
And wait
As to when
The Fairy o’ Slumber
Will gather ’em in her arms
And go in the valley of half-opened buds?
And when
After the silky eyelashes unveil beautiful Lakes
Will there be a garden
Of flowers
In whose fragrance
Will be a hidden
A thousand tales?
