Cyber pal

a poem by Chetan Bhatia

In the world of wild bad net,
I surf to have fun;
I never take friends seriously,
Except this someone.

We met in a chat room,
I asked the a/s/l;
She responded quite fast,
17/f/ pretty gal.

We talked for an hour or so,
She was so cool;
Thank god I found a new pal,
I hope she is not making me a fool.

Even before her,
My life was going full steam;
It was like a vessel,
Filled with milk up to the brim.

But like sugar in the milk,
To my life she brought new taste;
Where were you all my life?
Now suddenly it all looks such a waste.

Sometimes in night when I can’t sleep,
count all the beautiful things she ever says;
I hope we remain good friends,
For rest of my remaining days.

When I saw her pic
With my mouth open, I got freeze;
All along I was talking to an angel,
How pretty she is, have mercy! Please!

She brought happiness to my world
When I read her lovable mails;
And I thought fairy like her,
Only exist in fairy tales.
