Fairy Lights

a poem by Teesha Guliana

I surround myself,
With fairy lights,
They are not very harsh,
They’re soothing,
They are not very soft,
They’re uptight.

I surround myself,
With fairy lights,
It reminds me,
Of fairy tales,
Which you heard every night.

T’was my nirvana,
A place to escape,
It’s such a right mood,
And a nice façade.

It made me believe,
In goodness and peace.

It had made me believe,
In the beauty of,
Going through ease.
