Scolding

a poem by Tasneem

Scolding is mind boggling,
With a person shouting and another listening.

Especially when one shouts for no reason,
And releases the frustration.

Your voice is drowned in shouter’s aggression.
And you have to listen in silent attention.

Your explanation has no reaction,
The accusation has no stop action.

Clarification is misunderstood to be argument
There is no chance for feelings to vent.

Words fire straight at the heart like darts,
Your feelings are strangled in parts.

You cry out aloud for them to listen,
But they shout and hasten.

Yes it is something that has no solution,
It’s a thing to brood in isolation.
