How weird is it?

a poem by Teesha Guliana

How weird is it,
For all emotions,
To flow in,
All at once?

How a tiny smile,
A little giggle,
Is enough to melt a heart,
Bearing to pry.

We make stupid mistakes,
We’re baffled, and hold at stake.
We still claim our right,
Over a little one, but sometimes too tight.

We’ve seen pity,
We’ve held innocent eyes.
We’ve heard cries,
And songs of pleas that dried.

Our mind is chaotic,
It’s no longer a stable patriotic.
I put it in words,
But fail to emotionally merge.

How weird is it,
For all emotions,
To flow in,
All at once?
