Hyenas

a poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Hyenas
How do they come in packs
Showing teeth
Dragging
Chuckling and laughing
Strangely looking
But lurking around

Just like the scavenging animals
But so ferocious and stubborn
So lean and thin
And frustrated and desperate
In their targets

Black-mouthed
Just like the dogs
But are not
The hyenas spotted
And so wild
