I can only blame my mouth

a poem by Vinod Kumar Jagannathan

Stretch your hand… reach out.
If you still have a problem just shout.
Cause I am worried my love I am worried about…
You are hurt for all that happened…
Hmmm I can only blame my mouth…

Days never went by as the sun didn’t come out
From the day we met last November in the tennis court
I played a shot and you kissed with applaud.
I mistook it to be love without any doubt.
Ooh baby, your sweet lips on my mouth
Hmmm I can only blame my mouth….

I could have kept quite and forgot…
Might be another kiss I would have got.
Could have waited and enjoyed the happiness it brought…
But proposed you for life and kissed you, though you fought.
I know dear I know… it hurt you that very thought
For all that happened
Hmmm I can only blame my mouth…

Forgive me baby forgive me god…
Take me back in time for history to wipe out.
Let me make amends for the mess of all sorts.
Cause I know you lovely princess, you are worried
That’s why I say
Stretch your hand, reach out
If you still have a problem just shout
Cause I am worried my love, I am worried
You are hurt for all that happened…
Hmmm I can only blame my mouth…
