Feel the pain

a poem by Venisha W. Lama

I thought I was the best off spring and,
a most understanding sibling but
this illusion did not remain forever,
I am a disgrace,
I am a mistake that god has made.

Tears on mother’s eyes could not melt my heart,
hope of my return on father’s face could not drive my wicked thoughts away,
I could not see their love and friendship,
hatred, cruelty and greed flows through my veins.

Hurting others, caring for none
betraying was all I did for fun,
death penalty is less for me,
death is an escape,
I want to feel the pain.
