Audience

a poem by Vamsi Krishna Madasu

The makers of stars and great people,
The great mass of swarming people,
The classless, colossal of power,
Where are you??

I am here, sir.
I am the audience.

Never bothered about myself,
Never cared for merit and accolades
but relentlessly pursuing one goal,
to make talented people.
What they are,
What they feel,
What they deserve.

I am foolish, yet sensible,
I am heartless, yet a godfather,
I am ruthless but all loving.

I am here, sir.
I am the audience.

The one who claps for others.
The one who lives for others,
and dies for others.
Yet, selfless in approach
and forgetting in nature.

I am here, sir.
I am the audience.
