Strange Place

a poem by Tiffany Hillen

Strange place unknown to all
Lonely, scary, angry
Bitter sweet kill me
Crazy and unreliable
Unthinkable unloving
Caring are some
Mad are others
At a world
The world my world
Criticising
No light
Destructive and mind Boggling
God and faith and belief
Grass green asphalt black
Water cool and crisp
Hatred and praying
Unthinkable deranged
Padded room unable
To escape
Mysterious and unifying
Judgmental and rich
Filthy
Unclean
Dirty
Hunger and obesity
Loving family with insecurity
Friends come
And go
There is only a few to hold
Holding tight
Don’t let
Go
Movies the mall
Shopping
Poverty famine
Indecency
Animals being called
Humans being called
No one should be called
No one
Listening
Ignore me please

Life ending
Drunks
Druggies
Alcoholics
Addicts

Guns and violence
T.V.
Radio
Huge houses towering
Over cardboard
Boxes
Macdonald’s manager
President of
“The United States of America”
Scandals gossip
Shows and tells
Fame and fortune
With
No

Love

Dreams failing you
Failing
Everyone failing
Not here
No one cares
Bitter old women
Sitting alone at home
May be
Not
Your future past
The worlds goes round
We all go round
Animals equal humans
Humans equal god
May not
be

Emotions forever flowing
going nowhere
world’s crazy
full of crazy

Just a large mental hospital

Going insanely sane
