My breath’s food

a poem by Sundar

Knowingly we sent thanks and prayers above
When, deep inside, we didn’t know, we love

Our hearts tracing it’s long path to nature’s laws
Has ascended us into the highest cause

Know not,
What I’ve given this world as a ransom
To be crowned into Your soft bosom

For, I know
To love, can only wonder breed
But, to be loved, is wonder’s seed

I wish to build You a temple, My Queen
And promise to keep Your glories green

To convey my sincerest thanks, only my tears could.
For You’re just not my breath, but my breath’s food.
