Dusk

a poem by Srinivasa Prabhu

It is always mellow when the blaze is down
In this halcyon little town
The bevelled roofs, window panes,
Ceaseless swal and serpentine lanes.
The burst of lilies on my window sill
And glistening rocks along the rill.
Cragged tors and sylvan few
All flood in a golden hue.
