To Fly

a poem by Soorina Arora

Hear the cheerful choir of flapping wings,
Fortunate these lesser angels escape.
Each flutter carries a human desire,
To ride the warm winds uncaged.
Let nature deny the wings of flight,
The soul shall have it’s own way.
Beneath the earth
When the silent form shall lie,
Believed it is then,
That the soul shall fly.
