The scum of hell descends on earth
A blanket of smoke surrounds us
Stung by guilt, empowered by pride
Overcome by jealousy, is man in his stride.
As the dragon of Hades bellows down on earth;
As man wails for the earth- a rebirth
Entangled in the grips of fame and lust
The bird dies in fire lit by it in its nest
Dust rises, heads roll
Man in his own downfall
Eagles hover, foxes howl
Alas! Is there none to cry foul?
But lo! Thousands of miles away,
A butterfly happily hops on a:
Newly bloomed violet.
