All I need, is all that’s needed

a poem by Robb Milton

This once blacked heart,
now turns a darker shade of blue.
From reasons unbeknownst to the naked eye.
The state has removed my name,
our love has been parished and left to dust.
Please carry my limp body over the threshold
so I may rest.
Becoming a patient to life’s unending curveballs.
My servant sticks needles into my skin,
only to be cured within.
This once bruised heart,
now looks rejuvenated,
take me in,
to your arms.
And I shall share my world with you.
Will your ears never grow board from my banter?
I am not a one way speaker.
But I will only grow only weaker.
And my sentences may come out mumbled.
I tell you this now,
so the future may be taken with a grain of salt.
