Loving You, Honey…

a poem by Partha Pratim Majumder

The velvet life you have!!!
Quite dawn you enjoy in slumber
Your fingers count so many fortunes
One misfortune, you deserve by default
Loving me, a faceless number!

The coolest room you roam in
Finest perfume you feel you are fountain of
You opt for best food and drinks of the sub continent
To show that you deserve the best

Introspection is your only
Wrong aspect or the right fault
That’s why you painfully sail or happily jolt
To retrieve a lost John like me
Out of the forlorn nest

The cry, far cry of heaven reaches muddy earth
Screams the poor loving pal
The pain that never heals by the rich dividends
But deserves a time salt

Loving you, my divine pal
The trees fasten my soul in green glory
Raindrops play lullabies and
Flowers yawn like babies
When
Life has had a sensible halt.
Loving you, loving you, loving you!!!
