At the foothills

a poem by Partha Pratim Majumder

The sunshine can not speak
And it doesn’t need Perestroika
The rain doesn’t know
Who is Rani or who is Rekha

The hills have friendly clouds
That spread wings over their head
Solemn noon or the month of June
They never know Shopping Arcade

At the foothills,
The world is full of air
The trees have base of green
Green has better share

At the foothills, I am blessed
With two days rest
Fantasy looms large
In the cosy peace nest.
