When I was a child
I wished to be a pilot,
To fly in the air like a bird.
When I was in school,
I wished to be an astronaut,
So that I could touch the stars,
And kiss the moon.
Some years later
I wished to be a doctor,
Like my brother,
To heal the ailing humans.
But then…
I was driven by the luxury of life
And wanted to be a businessman.
Alas! my dreams were shattered.
I came down on earth.
Today my vocation is that of a clerk.
Now I wish, some day,
My son will grow up,
To fulfill my dream;
And take up one of my
Dream vocations.
