Where is God?

a poem by Jyoti A Dass

Among hills, under the cool white poplars,
In the meadows when you sit and share the serenity,
and peace of distant fields,
Then in silence let your heart say,
“GOD RESTS IN REASON.”

But when we are hit by the storm,
in the powerful wind shakes the forest,
The majesty of sky is announced by the thunder and the lightning,
Then in awe let your heart say,
“GOD RESTS IN PASSION.”

And when in the same forest the
flowers blossom and in the same
night you see the stars twinkle with a halo around them
Let your heart rejoice saying
“GOD LIVES IN LOVE.”

But since the breath taken by you lies in God’s sphere,
and the leaf in God’s forest.
YOU MUST REST IN REASON
AND MOVE IN PASSION AND LIVE IN LOVE…
