The Game of Life

a poem by Nav Chandi

Though we are different, we are still the same;
We both know that life can be considered a game.

For you, winning may be acquiring material things;
But I don’t feel a need to own nice cars and pinkie rings.

Life is about the process of always learning;
And for knowledge, our minds are always yearning.

Enjoying the simple, and the complex;
Loving each other is just a reflex.

We could roll the dice, or we could bluff in poker;
And sometimes we think that God is a joker.

We could lose and think we win, or win and think we lose;
It is always up to us to decide on what we ultimately choose.

Our philosophies may differ, but our goal is the same;
To win the Game of Life in our own special way.
