Scene above

a poem by Teesha Guliana

I stand by the window,
Holding on to the grip tight.
The wind keeps me muffled,
Playing with the curtains aside.

I smile at the scene,
Unfolding itself below me.
The crowd gathers like ants,
And the sun sets to be free.

It leaves behind,
The howling breeze,
A momentous sky,
Full of dreams.

Dreams filled,
With vivid colours.
Of orange and yellow,
Oh! A little sky blue too.

It sparks numerous eyes,
Leaving mouths agape.
Where people just stand still,
With a hand,
On their hearts awake.
