Summer

a poem by Aishani Goswami

Now as Spring leaves its mark,
The Sun dries flowers up,
With ice-cream accompanying it,
The dry Summer is coming here.

Gallons of water quenches thirst
Juicy fruits open and burst,
Switch on the fans and sleep,
That’s what everyone is saying indeed.

Even clouds are shouting now,
To let them leave drops of water around,
“Not your time”, the Sun replies
And continues to give shines.

I don’t know when this will end
But I’m sure it will go
Giving a chance to drops of rain
Following is Autumn and then Winter again.
