Remembrance for New Year

a poem by Push2cool

Remember the fights and struggles against Covid,
Have lasted long for anyone in anticipation.
Even the rhymes of love and myth by Ovid,
Seem jaded to those who prefer emancipation.

So, the season of joy is at hand,
Yet corona proves to be a dampener.
Merry making is all about the band,
But the wind of caution is an eye-opener.

Hoping that the best is yet to arrive,
Wishing that the worst has passed us by.
New Year’s resolution should drive,
What is truly important, aiming for the sky!
