Love

Real Remains
My heart for your real remains
My heart wins even if I lose you.
The deserts you made don’t count.
For what the selfish reasons behind,
could just be enough to get up to it.
The lights we both lightened,
have to be blown up for the acceptance.
Only the real remains could be fixed
that handles you from me up to end.

Shades of Love

Having you is my desire,
needing you is to be honest.
Love those eyes with Which you admire,
I won’t even let you be modest.

I still remember… a dark cloudy evening
with wind playing as harbingers of our love.
While we stood kissed by each others souls.
Life just seemed to slow down it’s pace;
for it suddenly felt I lived everything that once seemed like a race.

The path was unseen,
the destination was unknown.
The feeling was of innocence
for I felt  I was reborn.

Chaotic Heart !

Do you know how many feelings I carry in my heart,
How do I end my day and how do I start.
Missing you and longing for you is all I can do,
But I wish, as I feel, you feel the same too.

Do you know how many unspoken words I wanna say,
How can I say I keep on finding the way.
Loving you and praying for you is all I can do
But I wish, as I feel, you feel the same too.

Do you know how many dreams I have in my eyes,
How can I fulfill them I keep on telling the lies.
Preaching you and caring for you is all I can do,
But I wish, as I feel, you feel the same too.

Do you know how much pain is deep in my soul,
How do I bear them and keep trying to come out of the whole,
Searching you and urging for you is all I can do
But I wish, as I feel, you feel the same too.

Do you know how much I love you,
I wanna tell but unable to do.
Missing you, loving you, searching you, what else I can do,
I wish, as I feel, you feel the same too…

Blanket of Love

My love for you O’ Dear is greater
Greater than the sky above and oceans beneath
My Love for you is sweeter
Sweeter than the mangoes and melody
In that love will I hold you, hold you deep.

My love for you O’ Dear is stronger
Stronger than the Hercules’ shield.
My Love for you is beautiful
Than the rain in flower-fields.
To that love will I take you, take you steep.

My Love for you O’ Dear is warmer
Warmer than your grief
So that in your cold days
My Blanket of love will cover you
Cover you to sleep.

My Love for you O’ Dear is much more
Much more than what happened to you
Or what you did,
Therefore I will trust you again
Keeping what happened underneath.

The Photograph

Sometimes a single smile in the photograph,
Can bring thousand memories back.
As I wipe away the dust from the old photograph,
I am overwhelmed with the flashback.
Even before the dust could fall off,
I relived each and every moment.
The glance which I could feel with my eyes,
Was shattered with the truth of today.
Every time I tried to regain myself,
All of the efforts just went in vain.
People truly say that they are going to stay with us for life and beyond,
But they forget to complete that it’s only true in the photograph.
The photograph is hung on the wall,
Both are still and strong.
Seeing the one glorifies my face,
And another make me relive those moments again.
And now the dove is far from my reach,
And not even the echo is heard.
As the dust clings on to the printed faces,
I wish I could find happiness and its traces.
The unspoken words know the pain of the creases,
The corners of my heart are still shaded by the color of greases.
Both reminds me of the past,
But unfortunately those days could no longer last.
A jerk in my brain is required,
To take care of the tenderness of the heart, this will open the doors latch.
The trice captured by the camera’s eye,
I don’t know why my vision cannot find that sigh.

My Men

Living in a foreign land of aliens,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Men who are silenced by sunrises,
who make noises at car races.
Men who teach their children bicycle,
who make love like angel Michael,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Living in a foreign land of aliens,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Men who shed a tear for their neighbors,
injustice who fight with their labors.
Men who earn a living with justice,
who give up their lives with bliss,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Living in a foreign land of aliens,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Men who live with love in my heart,
who with patience wait for the Lord.
Men who wash their souls all the day,
who go to churches in order to pray,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Living in a foreign land of aliens,
I desire you, I desire you, my men.

Shrewd Time

Of all the entities, I have ever seen
Time is the most heartless
It moves slow when you are sweating in the bright sun in hot desert
And searching for water
It moves slower when you are in excruciating pain due to bite of a snake
And waiting for anti-venom to work
It moves slowest when you are about to be hanged at 6:00 in the morning
And waiting for hangman to pull the lever at 5:55
But the time is the shrewdest of all.
It runs fast, when you don’t want to leave the place which you called home
And the train is ready to take you hundred miles away
It runs faster, when you are staring the person you love with tears in your eyes
And you don’t want this moment ever to seize
It runs fastest, when you are in the arms of your most beloved person
And you know you won’t be able to feel the same heartbeat ever
Time is indeed a sea which is immeasurable and endless
But its water has become black with tears of yours and mine

Lost Happiness

I came to this place to make my life better than others
But at the destination the happiness is passing by
Its age is countable, it is short of breath and its steps are already unsteady
Spring was supposed to be on its way but it seems like it’s already over
May Queen was supposed to smile but its seems like she already smiled
And Among other things, happiness should be on its way but it seems like it already passed
Too much has happened that was not supposed to happen
Anxiety and pain was supposed to leave the valleys and so is my heart
Happiness was supposed to finish before sadness
Now, about to enter the world where there will be no laugh for stupidity
No irk for sarcasm
No coax for sulking
And no sensation for silent love
God was supposed to fulfill my dreams but its seems like it’s already fulfilled
And biggest thing that I regret is that I didn’t even realize it.

I let the firefly go

When days grew too bleak and stark,
I clad my world in velvet night.
I kept walking, led by my lamp;
through paths unseen, but not alone.
This steady lamp, it showed me the way
when the moon and stars fell asleep.
The lamp was dear, my only warmth
when all around was cold and dank.
Then I saw the little firefly,
a fallen star gleaming on grass.
Shimmering green and molten gold,
in its allure I stayed awhile.
Dreams I now saw in fair lamplight,
my world I dreamt in fairy glow.
Kissed by magic, I hid that spark
in a glass jar and held it close.
Then I knew that beside my lamp,
the flickering flame would not burn.
The lamp is mine, it shines for me;
it gives light where my feet take me.
My fond star, it shines for the world;
its spry light, but transient charm.
Needing to see, wanting to dream,
I broke my jar and let fire fly.
But this is no end, cannot stop
shadowing incandescent trails.
I must take the arduous road,
a lamp in hand to safely bear.
I must take the arduous road,
a firefly to shelter and care.
I must take the arduous road,
to a place of perpetual light.

From a loving parent to a lost son

Where were you
When the day dawned
When the nights slept
And the winds screamed

Keeping my eyes
Open through the days
Little by little
Closing some nights

Once upon a time
Became the last line
Oh how could this happen
Could I be lying?

Holding on to strands
Of tiny moments
Of love and joy and happiness
Of long lost wonderness

Whatever they say
The hope will never dry
Knowing you are out there
Fighting a lone battle

Know just this
There is a price to pay
For what we did not do
But there is a price to pay
Also for what we do

So never be broken
Rise high and shine
Blessed is the day when I can see you
But you not me

– A loving parent remembering a son who never came back

How?

You were wet from the dew
And provocative.
I didn’t feel you until you were
Trembling along with me.

How did I yearn for you!
Count the seconds when you weren’t there!
While you cherished other bodies,
Other un-shaven chins, other warmth.

How much did I carry the mildew perfume
Of your hair in my nostrils!
While you trod on my dreams
With high-heeled bitchery.

How long did my ears resonate
With your tinny laughter!
While I gazed into the drab walls
Of my pent-up cubicle
Thrashing deadlines and fidgety.

Now you say the words I’d always dreamt of!
As I reach for the weathered wallet.
‘How’, you ask, ‘it’s possible for Love’s richness
To fade, to cease?’ as you gather
Your trailing hose and smear on lip gloss.

How can I ever accept?
When you just sold yourself again.

Carrying Men

Who said “Men doesn’t know labour pain?”

The struggle we go through
in conceiving and delivering the love,
because of, only for, YOU…

Will not be over,
in mere 10 months dear…

Consider being in never ending, total constant pain,
some may even become a monster of Frankenstein…

A-every-season-lover…

Wouldn’t it be proper?
To have a-every-season-lover
A monsoon heart
Ready for adventure
And art
A wild spirit
Ready to climb hills
And travel places on a one way ticket

Wouldn’t it be proper?
To have a-every-season-lover
A warm heart
To keep the winter apart
To snuggle and dream
Next to a crackling bonfire gleam
To be happy beside a hearth
Spinning tales of the skies and the earth

Wouldn’t it be proper?
To have a-every-season-lover
A restless heart
For the approaching fall
Like the shedding of autumn leaves
Take on newer threads to weave
Of life and love
And future which shines like a pair of purple doves

Wouldn’t it be proper? To have a-every-season-lover
A serene heart
For the summer part
To soothe your mind
With a plan to unwind
To explore the city nooks
Or venture out in search of lost brooks
Writing a new chapter everyday
And charting our own special way

Wouldn’t it be proper?
To have a-every-season-lover…

Wanderlust

I want to get lost in the by lanes of a strange town
Discover tucked away places and people
People with their stories of the yore
And places which are alive with scents, secrets ‘n’ more

A dimly lit alley which surprises you with trinkets
An old frail gentleman who enthralls with past glories and doomed amulets

A shop around the corner
Alluring you into its depth
With adventures bound in yellow crinkled pages
Also tales of wisdom waiting to be read and retold

A rickety shack with its delicious tidbits
Served only with the chatter of the equally rickety owner
She’s only too happy to coax you to eat more
Narrating incidents of the cities woes

A gentle stream along the town road
Has been and will be witness to all that unfolds
The childhood of young boys spent along its banks
The crackle of young women engaged in chores
And the occasional drifter (like me) from a foreign land ‘n’ search of some lore

A strong urge to belong to such a place
From ones routine to escape
And perhaps in a serendipitous moment meet a stranger with a book and a hat
Whose eyes and soul not unlike my own
Together we would travel
And weave tales of our wander…
