The Wedding Night

a poem by Dipika

The Moon has shone bright
Dressed in the white gown for the night
Smiling coyly underneath the cloudy veil
Leaving behind her, glistering diamond trail
She walked the silvery path down the aisle
Shimmering, glittering and lighting up long mile
Soft sand beneath her feet welcoming her with open arms
She walked gracefully flaunting her eternal charm
In awe! Witnessed the fauna and flora
Enchanted by her celestial aura
She vowed never to leave the night
Partially or fully but once in a while
Merrily they swayed away
On a short holiday till the next day
