Just More Words!

a poem by Nav Chandi

Sardonic words which do not express much;
Except an attempt at facetious thought.
By extirpating all unnecessary notions…
he is able to find exactly what thought was sought.

This poet’s dipsomania enhances.
Is it that or his thirst for what is true?
Is it iridescent love like a rainbow?
Or is it irrevocable words which are often misconstrued?

The lacuna that is in his world;
As he laments thoughts unsaid and undone;
As he languishes from doubt or despair;
A state of melancholy where most of these words are from.

In the company of others, he is loquacious…
without even making a sound.
He has a different facade for each person.
This is how a variety of his thoughts are found.

The factitious nature of the “real” world…
sometimes best described through sardonic thought.
Eventually, this poet will find…
the thought, the thought he has sought.
