Spring

a poem by Remigius de Souza

A spring jumps through
The cliffs soaring high
Sings glory to my
Half a century fall:
At hot noon a sparrow hangs
In the air to sip its droplets,
A goat balances half-way and suckles
Nectar of Mother Earth,
In rainbow costume dances
The grass to its melody
Of green fragrance:
“Peace be with you.”
