I am cursed

a poem by Ramana Tandra

Birds,
My companions for ages
Now forswore me
For I made them extinct
In the passion of luxury
.
Earthworms
That made my soil fertile
To feed me well
Now gone somewhere
Renouncing me and my kids
For I put them in poison
Adding poison to soil
.
All the nature I live in
Now made me its enemy
Taking away my alacrity
For I am pursuing
Unnatural bliss
.
Oh nature
How cursed I am
No excuse to my life!
