Venus

a poem by Nishant Gupta

No language can speak,
No script can write,
No expressions can tell,
When eyes speak it all.

There is no need,
For anyone to interfere,
When the eyes are,
In deep affair.

It’s a saga,
Of love and life,
It’s a regime,
Of eyes and nights.

Where they have,
Their own language to speak,
Their own script to write,
Their own expressions to tell.

And there’s nothing to do,
But to gaze into the pool,
Of tenderness and emotions,
With the lotus of love,
Blooming in the middle,
Surrounded by pearls,
And fence so black,
With nowhere to escape from.
