Just for you

a poem by Chetan Bhatia

Every time my heart praises for you,
I feel so much has been left out;
There is so much I can say about you,
So much goodness in you, without any doubt.

Forgive me if I fail any front,
Your perfection beyond I can imagine;
I can just recite all the alphabets,
For you to choose best amongst all,
Compliments and praises nobody, before, has heard or seen.

Before this time of our life goes bye,
Like from between the fingers we squeeze out sand.
To preserve this precious moment,
Let us hold each other’s hand;

Tell me what should I do,
To sweep you off your feet;
What should I whisper in your ear?
Which you say sounds sweet.

Advise me how should I be,
So you rub your fingers through my hair;
Tell me where should I touch,
So you love me like you really care.

Some people fall for many,
Some just love few;
I just love one,
And that is you.
