The Difference

a poem by Sidharth Kumar

To love in a new world
The question I often ask myself
How would it feel like
In arms of a beautiful stranger
The one you never met
But whose blue eyes struck you
First time you saw her
Skin never seen as fair as before
A face you’d die for
Lips like the pink rose petal
Brutal and killing
Hair like the freshly woven silk
Falling below shoulders
Smile that took care of my pain
Pushing me above
Flavour I’d never wanna miss
Comes once in a life
Time that stood in her way
Turning me motionless
A serpent body to move around
Making the air freeze
Language she speaks is the sweetest
To big ears of mine
Gathering the stamina within me
That tenfolds on seeing her
When your heart beats the loudest
Saying she’s the one you need
That’s someone you came across a street
And fell in instant love
Someone you’d miss again and again
Walking on the same street
And then later when she loves you
More than anyone else
Would my love for her be different than
For my own country girl!
