Poems on
Dreams

The golden dream turned black

a poem by Anshita Banka

At the crack of day
There stood a gay
Happy and cheerful
In a pleasant way

Had a golden dream
With no stoppage
No boundary
No second thought

But the day to day life
Like that of cats and dogs
Chasing all around

Thought of a life
Like that of birds
Free life, full of freedom
Ease to do according their wish

That dream is a golden dream
Which is left behind
In this new world

Let that seed grow
Into a beautiful plant
