Diamonds

a poem by Anupama Pyarelal

Let me keep you nestled,
In my bosom.
A stray moon beam captured,
Accidentally within a crystal,
Passionate as fire,
A magnificent ice sculpture,
Set in gold filigree,
Around my neck.
Ignite the sparks in my eyes,
Dazzle the whole world;
Make me feel special,
Be my friend forever.
