My demons

a poem by Kanishka

Sitting in a dark room alone
Heart pained, hope gone
Head hung, tears streaming
I’m silent but my soul’s screaming

Cuts on my body, long and deep
Sadness I sow darkness I reap
And I was in darkness, so darkness I became
My demons chase and I’m the aim

The demons live in my heart
They take my soul and tear it apart
Nights are lonely scary and cold
Help me I can’t get out of the hold

I lie on my bed broken beyond repair
Nobody knows, nobody cares
And when the night crawls, the torment begins
I weep and my Monsters grin

And now after everything I’m totally numb
To their powers I have already succumbed
Through the halls of Darkness I’ll confidently roam
Not heaven but hell is my home
