Hail the ocean, not the waves

a poem by Purushothama Rao R

Thank the moon
That spreads crystal white light
On the earth to make lives
Delightful day in and day out

Thank the trees
That rise high into skies
And to wider and broader widths
To weave pleasant waves to enlarge life span

Thank the flowers
That come up in multi-colours
To make your eyes go gay
And garland the gaiety

Thank the water streams
That give you living creams
And make your stay on universe
Really trust worthy

Above all thank the super natural power
That guides us perfectly in all our ways
And blesses us uniformly with happiness
And prosperity in store for present and future times too

“Choose the highest ideal and live your life up to that.
Look at the ‘ocean’ and not at the wave” – Swami Vivekananda
