An Astrologer’s say

a poem by

Sakthi Ravichandran

It is the corner of the village with a tree
There is a man with stick and mat
He is calling and shouting for his bread
His profession is giving predictions of his believers
My walk ends there to relax and
Listens his call with a desire
He called and said a thing about the past
I stunned and and sit on his mat for more
He visited my hand and examined
In a sweet rhythm started his says
Few are true and few may be false
I am stunned of his rhythmic voice and versions
He comes to the end and asked five rupees as charge
Then my searching begins to settle his money
A word comes as last form his mouth
That I will be very soon caught by an incident

The Loot Moot

a poem by

Satej

The stars they read
The future they draw
At your moot with astrologers raw
The find you well in a straw!

Your palm as they magnify
What does that signify?
Bla-bla, bla-bla you cheated they hoot
On the whole the moot’s a loot

Making their future
Not yours
Looting your bucks as also trust
Its all a satanic lust…

Life

a poem by

Sundarrajan V S

Life and hope inseparable
Life and death inseparable
Fire and smoke inseparable
Milk and butter inseparable

Crime and punishment are twins
Virtue and vice are twins
Life is full of vice and sin
Life in early stages to be saved

Fear and emotions lull in all life
Living organisms throb endless in life
All living beings great and small
Life exist for a period and die

Embryo to old age life exist
Life starts in womb and end in tomb
Birth grows decay and death
Mirth and grief follow incessantly

Life is short, too good to all
Love thy fellowmen all creations
God is love and well in all creations
Life is joy for who love others

Crystal Vision

a poem by

Avez

The music
turned within my mind
And my vision of your dance
Was reflected in my sight
As you touched the mirror
encompassing my soul.

I reached upward
to touch that vision of you
But my fingers only found
the surface
of the crystal you hide within.

And so I knew
That the mirror of my soul
and the perfect crystal
holding you
would be forever intertwined
within your dance.
