The Bifid Twilight

a poem by Rumsha Merchant

Walking down the dark lane
And looking for a soul
To find that will hold me safe
And help me from not going into the abyss
Cause there are demons who are waiting for the bifid twilight
Not once they have spared a life at night
And now it’s my turn to say goodbye.

All they want is to get their filthy hand on the women’s face
And chase their dreams until they are wide awake
Tears streaming down her face
And scared for it to happen again

Sitting on bed clutching the pillow
And crying for help
But realization hits her hard
And says “You are safe, your death has already taken place”.
