The unknown

a poem by Hiba Irfan

Sitting on a balcony
On a rainy Sunday evening
Gazing at the sky
Dark and intense so my thoughts
Gushing as blood
Captivating my brain
Of him, the unknown
Made for me

These tiny droplets drenching my soul
These strong winds blowing through my hair
Making me weak
Knocked off my feet
Go deeper into the thoughts
Of him, the unknown
Made for me

Desires come popping in my head
To walk in this rain with him
Under a romantic umbrella
To get cozy, drenched
In a lonely street
With him, the unknown
Made for me

As lightening strikes through the clouds
Gives me the flash of those
Rosy cheeks, contagious smile
Dark intense eyes staring at mine
Of him, the unknown
Made for me

My heart, an empty hall
Wandering, crushing onto people many
Me holding it tight
Keeping it pure
For the the true light
Of the red love
Of you, the unknown
Made for me
