Lights of the Nights

a poem by Ayan Mukherjee

“Either us be on world
Or this reality, sad ‘n’ broken.
Ways parted away, O! hell
There was us only and
Nights of thought while;

Paintings, shimmering in shadow:
Sin, was though never been done.
Created for exotic essence of you.
It’s two eyes, on eyes and thighs.
Grinding sound of limbs,
As our desire brims to the chimes.”
