Frozen Love

a poem by Tenzin Jangchup Lungkha

Like a naked bough,
Yearning for the joy of spring’s warmth.
I too in the winters’ shiver,
Prayed for my beloved’s return.
Now that the winter has worn the blanket of snow
And the white garment had veiled,
Nature’s beauty from my sight,
I seek solace in music and poetry.
And with these humble verses,
Her beauty do I recall in my thoughts!
