Another Day in Paradise

a poem by Sundar

Really wonder how you stood this distance
For, even a little we didn’t have, of other’s presence

A criminal, I turned, by killing my days
Consoling my heart only with your sweet face

Unfailingly everyday the sun does rise
And enchantingly hum my heart, your praise

Girl,
No rosary would you ever need
For, every syllable of yours is a bead

I waited for this togetherness
The sweet perfume your breath affords
Gets incorporated with your warm words
And these nights
When your hair you leave unconfined
For my fingers to play through it as wind

My love
There is no merit in being wise
As today is Another Day In Paradise
