Moonlight

a poem by Subhankar Bose

O moon, how I admire you!
A silver disc one day,
Or half a disc as days goes by,
Or a quarter, or even
just a slice, oh my,
Like a piece of nail freshly cut
Lying in the sky.
After that come the moonless night,
There’s no trace of you.
As you my friend are hidden from sight
Untouched by moonlight, too!
